Whether you are setting up a new aquarium or planning an upgrade, we review the project before installation so that the equipment, site and scope are clear.
What installation can include
The work is tailored to your system and agreed before scheduling. Depending on the project, installation may include:
- A review of the site, access and equipment before the installation date.
- Aquarium, stand and cabinet positioning within the agreed handling arrangements.
- Aquarium plumbing assembly and accessible connections.
- Sump, filtration, circulation and top-off equipment setup.
- Lighting, heating, controllers and dosing equipment configuration.
- Aquascaping and substrate placement when included.
- Filling, leak checks and initial operating checks.
- A walkthrough of equipment operation and routine care.
Your quote specifies labor, equipment, materials, water preparation, delivery and any other services included. Heavy lifting, specialist handling, building work and additional purchases are confirmed separately where needed.
How we approach your installation
- Review the project. Send your equipment list, aquarium dimensions, location and photos. We discuss what is already on site and what still needs to be arranged.
- Confirm readiness and scope. We review access, stand and equipment suitability, water preparation and the work required. Any site preparation is agreed before scheduling.
- Assemble and configure. We position and connect the agreed components, keeping service access and future maintenance in mind.
- Check operation. The agreed checks may include plumbing leaks, circulation, overflow behavior, sump operating levels and equipment settings.
- Walk through the system together. We explain normal operation, the startup plan and the checks you need to carry out between visits.
Prepare the site before installation day
Tell us about stairs, door widths, tight turns, parking and delivery access. The aquarium location needs to be ready for the agreed installation work, with suitable electrical provision and any required water or drainage arrangements.
For built-in displays or construction projects, we can discuss aquarium requirements with your contractor. Structural assessment, building alterations and dedicated electrical or building plumbing work are carried out by the relevant qualified professionals.
Installed does not mean ready for livestock
A newly assembled aquarium still needs an appropriate startup and cycling process. We discuss biological filtration, water testing and a gradual stocking plan suited to the intended inhabitants.
Fish and corals are not added simply because the equipment is running. Livestock introduction, follow-up visits and ongoing maintenance are included only when specified in the proposal.

Based in Lexington, South Carolina. Installation coverage and travel arrangements are confirmed individually according to the project location, access and scope.
Pricing depends on aquarium size, equipment, plumbing complexity, handling requirements and site readiness. Scheduling is confirmed once the scope is approved and the necessary equipment and site preparations are in place.
Frequently asked questions
Can you install equipment I already own?
We can review existing equipment for suitability and compatibility. Send the models, condition and photos before booking so we can identify missing components or limitations.
Can you help with an existing aquarium upgrade?
Yes, we can discuss equipment upgrades and system modifications. Work involving an occupied aquarium needs a specific plan for the livestock and any interruption to filtration.
Is delivery or moving a large aquarium included?
Only when specified in your quote. Delivery, unloading and specialist handling are reviewed in advance according to the aquarium and access conditions.
Can you design the system as well?
Yes. If the aquarium or technical layout is still to be defined, start with Custom Aquarium Systems so the installation follows an agreed design.
Can you provide care after installation?
