ESV Granular Activated Carbon
ESV B-Ionic Magnesium
A measured approach to magnesium supplementation for your reef.
ESV B-Ionic Magnesium is a liquid supplement designed to help maintain magnesium levels in marine and reef aquariums. Available in 32 fl oz and 1-gallon sizes, it fits both smaller systems and established reef-care routines.
The Francois Neo approach
Before adding a supplement, I want to understand what the aquarium needs. Magnesium belongs in the same conversation as calcium and alkalinity—but it should be measured, not dosed automatically simply because the other two are being supplemented.
My approach is straightforward: test, review the trend, then adjust gradually. Consider your salt mix, water-change schedule and existing additives before changing your routine.
Why choose B-Ionic Magnesium?
- Liquid magnesium supplementation.
- Two package sizes to suit your aquarium and maintenance routine.
- Can be used alongside a calcium and alkalinity supplementation program, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
How to use
Test magnesium before dosing and follow the instructions on your specific product label. Adjust additions around your aquarium’s measured needs, and recheck the result before making further changes.
Avoid chasing a single test result. Consistent measurements help you make better decisions.
